asx @ 02:26 am: asdfasdatds or "The Most Frustrating Thing"
Hey kids, just dropping in to share the gospel...

DON'T EVER (AND I MEAN EVER! even if someone is going to kill your mother if you don't) EVER SAY, "All that's stopping us from starting this bitch is fuel and coolant." You will be up till 2:00AM trying to figure out why you blow your engine fuse everytime you attempt to start the thing. Then you realize that the fuel pump hasn't been adapted at all for the ECU to run it, so it wouldn't matter anyways.

The fuel went in just fine, no leaks or anything. however After pouring in a whole gallon of 50/50 antifreeze I realize that the engine drain plug is missing while it's about halfway through dumping out all that I poured in. Easily solved by grabbing one off the other engines.

Then we put the key in and get no Idiot lights or guages of anykind. realize that the fuse is missing for the guages and replace it. realize that the guages now work but not the idiot lights, check more fuses to find that the one for the engine is dead. replace and retry, same. damnit. Maybe the Injectors are drawing too much power? psyche. same thing. So tomorrow I get to spend digging though all these diagrams and looking for places where I may have mis-wired. Unfortunately there is no guide for this. The only one I've found was for a GSL-SE which is practically worthless fo rme having an '83 GSL which is an S2 ('84-'85 cars are S3)

Someone cry a river for me

Hey everyone,

I'm 14, and I live in Connecticut. I race shifter karts, and I like cars. I've been to Laguna Seca and Lime Rock with Skip Barber open-wheel cars. Ricers make me laugh whenever they drive by, but it sucks 'cause everyone is always like, 'Shit, that car's fuckin' fast!'. I have pictures of the racing, but I'm not sure if I should post them or not. My dream car is an STi or R32. NASCAR sucks. WRC, JGTC, Champ Car, SPEED GT & Touring Car, Trans-Am, F1, MotoGP, ALMS, and Rolex Sports Car Series are the best in my opinion. That's it.

converseonfire @ 11:45 pm: New Car Dillema
So, I guess its time for me to start posting since i'm in the market for a new Cougar. My current Cougar is getting older and not ageing well. It's a 1993 Cougar with over 260,000 miles on it. The doors don't work so well and its only a V6. So.

I'm trying to decide whether I should buy a 1997 30th edition Cougar with the V8 and a body kit which is 108 miles away from me which would be a pain to have checked by my mechanic and I wouldnt have the money to modify it much
a stock 1996 Cougar XR7 with the V6 engine that is for sale ($2000) right up the street.
(no pain for getting it checked and I plan on swapping the engine for a Mark VIII V8 with the money and some other stuff if I have the money)
a 1995 Jetta GLX ($4500)with a suspension upgrade but otherwise stock and no extra money for mods.

I'm not really al that in to street racing as most of you know and I might take my new car to the track every once in a while, but this is mostly an in between car for me to save for a 2007 Volkswagen GTI.

So whats your opinion?

i_read_your_lj @ 04:35 am: Hey, someone should edit the intrest under "rice patrol" to include drag racing. While I do admit it's very cliche now. Performance in a straight line does matter. That's why so many Fords and Chevy's are sold every year.
